The most important piece of information you need to know is that thoughts around sexual obsessions are normal. Many OCD patients report sexual obsessions as their primary concern. There isn’t much research on sexual themed topics related to OCD and it is quite understudied.

Sexual Obsessions include:

• Fear about engaging in undesirable acts.

• Having intrusive unwanted sexual images.

• Experiencing doubts about one’s sexual orientation.

• Having sexual thoughts or groinal responses to a child.

• Sexual thoughts about religious figures or having thoughts incongruent to ones own religious beliefs.
